Unilever’s Buying Spree Continues

Adds Blueair to home care portfolio

With its acquisition of Dollar Shave Club in the books, Unilever is beefing up its home care business. Today, the company announced an agreement to buy Blueair, a maker of indoor air purifying systmes for homes and businesses. The Stockholm-based company had 2015 sales of $106 million. A purchase price was not disclosed. Unilever CEO Paul Polman said the purchase will complement its existing water purfication business.   Blueair was founded in 1996 by Bengt Rittri.
